Amidst the intensifying competition among high-end sushi restaurants, sushi chefs are often seen acting like superstars or are heavily featured in advertising. Aoi, however, is unpretentious and shows the true spirit of a shokunin (artisan), serving excellent sushi. Precisely because he doesn't act like a superstar, his restaurant is absolutely the perfect fit (or perfect choice).

Great sushi and service. I came here around 1 and was the only one in the restaurant. I had omakase lunch and the chef was very attentive and described each dish before serving. The meal was easily one of my favorites in Tokyo

It’s a very nice place, I recommend you to make a reservation in advance. But still can try to walk in and get a table. The food is very fresh and tasty. The chef seems to cook he’s heart out of it! Great experience.
